Can You Improve Your Search Engine Ranking by Yourself?
Or Do you need the SEO Guys?

As you must do in learning the truth about making money online, you start out, back up and start out again.
Such it is with learning to get traffic to your site and understanding Search Engine Optimization.
People finding out about the SEO process tend to go through 4 stages of understanding what it is.
The What is SEO Stage?
You’ve got your Website looking pretty good and now you’re open for business. You wait and wait. Then suddenly it hits you…now what?
What is it I must do to get people to find my site? You do research and learn your site must be optimized for the search engines and for any traffic to find it.
You learn your site must be verified, indexed and submitted to the directories before the search engines even know you exist.
You do these things and know you are on the right path. Then you wait and wait and…wait some more.
The SEO Confusion Stage
You are nearly ready to give up, but you’re no quitter. You figure you have done something wrong. You do more research in articles.
Problem is you have no idea what these articles are telling you. One of them says you need to use keywords in Meta tags, and another says that Meta tags are dead. You read that you need high-quality links to your site, but you don’t even know what that means or how to get them.
One article says you need keyword-rich content, but that means about as much to you as the linking thing. Some say you absolutely have to pay to be found in the search engines, others say it doesn’t cost a thing.
The SEO Black Hat Stage
The more you read, the more you start to think that there must be some sort of trick to this whole SEO thing. You learned that you need to use keyword phrases not just keywords.
You remember reading about “keyword-rich content” and suddenly it dawns on you that you will actually put all your phrases on the home page somewhere.
At this point, you’re starting to think you’re pretty smart, and decide to tell some people you met in a forum. Ouch! You get called all sorts of names, like “spammer”! You didn’t even know there was such a thing as search engine spam.
So you start thinking that maybe tricking the search engines isn’t the best way. Learning free SEO is better.
The SEO Learning Stage
You visit the forum again, to see what other people do if they’re not tricking the search engines. By now, you’ve become quite familiar with many of the terms seo guys use, and some of the stuff they tell you is beginning to actually make some sense.
You learn that you don’t need to put all your keyword phrases on the home page and you should use some of your phrases “naturally” on every page. You learn that the search engines figure out which sites are the most popular by how many sites are linking to them.
It’s starting to make perfect sense. But you really have no idea how you will get other sites to backlink to yours. You’re a bit disheartened to think about how much time and effort it’s going to take to become a popular site. Do you need a consultant seo?
Eventually, you reconcile with the fact that you’re gonna have to work hard and learn to incorporate the best seo strategies.
