Many people who think they can easily start an Internet business have little idea as to what it really requires.

For some it is doable, but the time commitment is seldom understood. I had to sort all the hype about getting rich quickly and separate the facts from the fiction. Only then did I begin to realize I could actually make money online.

Who Are Vincent James and Fabricio Cruz?

Well…he’s back. After being banned from the Internet for  running a marketing scam for selling bogus male enhancement pills, Vinnie has returned with his same old unscrupulous tactics. Vincent James is VINCENT PASSAFIUME, who was busted and forced to forfeit $48 million in luxury homes, a fleet of cars and bank accounts to pay off victims. He has returned to prey upon yet another group of desperate people looking to make money online.

This time Vincent James is promoting the book of “How I made $77 Million In 2 Years and You Can Too”. His apparent partner is someone called Fabricio Cruz. I just saw their Google Adsense ad and had to write about it.

It is the usual nonsense as all get-rich-quick schemes are.  It can mislead the general public and does everyday.  These guys should be recognized as such. They are in the same league as the Rich Jerk.  Why would anyone believe outrageous claims, even if they were true.

“How I made $77 Million In 2 Years and You Can Too” is supposedly top secret stuff and only costs you a mere $1.95 to find out. The fine print at the bottom of the ridiculously long sales page indicates that your credit card will be billed $38 more if you fail to cancel within a few days.

Is Vincent James a Scam?

People who purchased the product say it is only basic marketing material that can be found anywhere on the Internet. Vincent James is selling his product about how he did it. He openly tells you he was busted for bad practices. You just need to understand and recognize his practices this time. I can’t say whether or not it is a scam. But it surely looks deceptive to me.

Can Vincent James turn you into an Internet success within days?

I say, “Absolutely Not”! There are no legitimate get rich quick schemes on the internet or anywhere else. Get rich quick schemes are all fraudulent and as fake as a three dollar bills. It is possible to make a good living from the Internet. Many people do it. You must be willing to invest time and a little money in something that is never guaranteed. You need to learn a lot about the Internet and online marketing to succeed. And it takes hard work and time. Vincent James and Fabricio Cruz do not tell you that!

The Vincent James scheme really should be viewed as parody, but unfortunately it is not intended as such and it misleads too many people down the road of false hope. It looks like Vinnie would have learned this by now. But as long as people are falling for his marketing methods, Vinnie will make his money online. That is, of course, until he gets busted again.

Scamming those who are desperate to make money online must be too easy. Common sense should prevent such brazen attempts. I suppose the lack of common sense by the scammer and the preyed upon keeps perpetuating these things.

Is MyOfficeJob.net A Scam?

I received the following email the other day by some outfit calling itself Norval Online and to me it’s by far one of the stupidest attempts at just another scam since the Nigerian junk surfaced a few years ago. I think the fact that so many people are unemployed today gives people hope to think an easy solution exists to make money online.

Is MyOfficeJob.net just another scam?

I can’t say, but everyone should do their due diligence on this one.  I won’t be surprised when I start seeing emails that just ask me to send in my credit card number for their use, then I will know for sure they are just another scam.

I answered the email and said I would be interested in someone calling me before I gave my credit card number to just another scam.  Their answer was that Norval Online has commitments with the International Deaf Society and nobody could call on the phone.  Are you kidding me?

I am very doubtful of MyOfficeJob.net and you should decide for yourself if it is a scam.

Do you believe sales pitches that claim you can earn five-figures every month working from home and can get started with no business experience, don’t need to know a thing about the internet or computers to succeed in an online business? You have seen websites offering similar too good to be true opportunities like IncomeAtHome.com.

Is the IncomeAtHome.com a Scam?

Since Herbalife does have an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau, I cannot say it is a scam. It does offer products for weight loss, healthy lifestyles and healthy aging. Therefore, Herbalife does not take your money and run. But if it is a first-class home-based business system remains to be seen. After all, it is a MLM business and requires successful sales efforts typical of all MLMs. IncomeAtHome.com is sneaky and does not tell you that explicitly upfront.

IncomeAtHome.com is just one of many websites that are pure sales pitches for the online method of operating an Herbalife International Independent Distributorship.

Through the BBB, I found at least 12 similar websites to IncomeAtHome.com including: homeincomematch, incomeforever, homebusinessmatch, growyourincome, earnrealincome, earnincomeonline, incomeathomeusa, incomeathomeradio, incomeathomela, online-business-systems.shopmybbb, theonlinebusinesspro, growyourincome48.

You can check out each one and you will see the similarities, particularly the paid for endorsements by Dr. Laura, Mike Gallagher, Dr. Joy Browne, Michael Medved, and Laura Ingraham.

So how does it work?

When you sign up with IncomeAtHome.com, you are offered a Success Package for $9.95. They send you an information booklet, a CD and a DVD. All include the same HYPE. All are repeats of the same information and they fail to give many details on the business opportunity itself. They say if you are not interested you must send the Success Package back within 14 days to get a refund. If you wait and don’t get it back before the grace period, you will be charged an additional $39.95. This is another sneaky move with their program.

After receiving the material you are asked to call the personal coach they have assigned to you. The coach will go over the system, but the main emphasis is on further selling the system of IncomeAtHome.com. The offer is to start with a beginner program at the cost of $69 to get a package of Herbalife samples for you to try or sell to friends and family. The second offer is for a big package of $399. With it you get a replicated personal  web page, a package of herbal life samples, and personal coaching to get you started and help you promote Herbalife and your web page.

You see, this is an MLM company and requires considerable work. You become an independent distributor who develops an organization by recruiting a downline of independent distributors and a customer base, and then your downline does the same thing. Of course, the more people you can get “into” the system, the more money you make. This is a legitimate marketing practice and is not a pyramid scheme, but understand it requires a lot of work, convincing people to join you and leading those individuals for your own success.

Is IncomeatHome.com for you?

Herbalife International does have a reasonable track record but beware of the informational Success Package trick you fall into at the beginning of the inquiry.

If you are a super sales person and can sell Herbalife, IncomeAtHome.com might be for you. Remember and be warned that this is not internet marketing from home even with the web page. MLM for most people is a real hard sales job and depends on recruiting new members.

Don’t Be Afraid of An Online Business

I’ve been thinking about this for a while now, and know many people are not only skeptical but afraid of an online business. It is perfectly understandable. There is so much hype today. There is a group of those who simply preach the easy way and they do prey on the unsuspecting. Some folks know this and that keeps them paralyzed and unable to begin to learn how to succeed and make money online.

Others may understand the difficulty, the long study, the hours of work with uncertainty and the failure rate. They are just not willing to commit what it takes to succeed. They accept that they cannot do it. Failure to take action is safe. Staying in your comfort zone will seldom allow you to accomplish the extraordinary.

And then, many just have a fear of failure. Fear keeps so many people from achieving their goals in life. To make money online, it takes a special determination and an unwavering stamina to not give up. It can be lonely, scary, and leave one wondering if they can ever have the influence to be a leader.

Don’t Be A Chicken With Your Online Business

A friend of mine sent me this picture a few days ago and it speaks volumes for beginner online entrepreneurs.

One of the things I’m proudest of with my blog is not that I’ve grown a large readership, but I’m establishing a very rewarding relationship with many of my readers.

A Relationship With Your Readers

It has been difficult, but it’s immensely rewarding to have readers return and to make comments or send emails with sincere appreciation about what they have learned about making money online. Expressed gratitude for my honest writing is vastly positive for me.

Imparting any information on how to make money online is so valuable to those who want to know and are wondering if they can too. If nothing else, I simply provide facts, not fiction. There is so much to learn to become a successful online marketer and anytime I can dispel the junk and promote reality is what I try to accomplish.

Because of this relationship, I find myself wanting to learn more each day and find my readers eager to help me in my venture. Their questions are so encouraging. Their thoughtful comments, criticisms, and own experiences make my blog what it is.

A Relationship with Your Readers Is A Prerequisite to List Building

From a blogger’s perspective, there’s no better reward. Sure, I would like to be further down the path in making money online myself, but having a genuine, engaging relationship with my reader’s means that they want to help me. They’re willing to buy what I promote because they trust me. They want to ask me questions and they want to follow my updates.

And at the time of this writing, I do not even have an opt-in box for list building. Establishing an honest relationship, providing value and becoming an authority is a prerequisite to list building. I recommend it to all bloggers, especially beginners.

Here are my suggestions for building a genuine relationship with your readers:

1. A genuine relationship starts with you — you have to take responsibility for it. So start with a positive mindset if you really want to make money online. Be willing to be patient and work hard at it.

2. Make your posts helpful and give value to your readers. Really try to help your readers in every post.

3. Be positive and helpful in all interactions with your readers. In every comment you respond to, in every email, in every interaction on forums and Twitter and other social networks, you should try to be positive, try to be helpful, and try to build your relationship in some way. Readers will become your followers.

4. Expect to be criticized and accept it. It’s the nature of the Internet. And it can be harsh and it can hurt. Do not get angry or defensive or you will look immature. That will harm your relationship with your readers. Instead, thank your readers for their criticism, respond positively and acknowledge that they may be right.

I think online relationships must be cultivated. People do not join opportunities nor do they like to be sold to. People want to join people and they want to buy from people they trust. Anyone who is successful in making money online knows this. A genuine relationship comes from honest dialogue and honest actions. You can’t fake this stuff.
