Is Home Job Placement a miracle worker or a waste of $197?
I read every word of their sales page and listened to every word from their compelling spokes-model, Jennifer Johnson. A first impression would be this person is really trying to help those who want to work at home. It sounds honest and looks innocent.
However, it reminds me of other similar sounding sales pitches from innocent looking spokes-models who are trying to solve the same old problems with the same old solutions.
And they are more than just similar…they are sneaky!
Using a soft spoken spokes-model who looks so much like the client they attempt to attract is indeed sneaky. But wait….
Home Job Placement appears to be the remnants of two previously busted work at home opportunities. Before you jump in, do some research on Work At Home Recruiters and Auction Work At Home. Each received a fair amount of “bad press” in their reviews.
In fact, Home Job Placement appears to be a reincarnation using a very similar sales pitch, very similar earnings screen shots and even use the exact same photograph and testimonial from someone named Rulon.
In reality, there is one company behind all these sites that is simply changing spokes-models and program names as negative comments surface.
I cannot say whether the course yields positive results or not but I can say that based on my research, and the fact that this company changes its image regularly, it’s best to take extra caution.
If you want to make REAL money online, it all begins with a solid education and quality mentors…

I read everything and it sounded pretty honest and a maybe a good opportunity until I got to the Disclaimer. It states that I would be responsible for and assume all risk for any defective products, services or materials. I would have to pay for any necessary service, repair or correction of the above. Are they crazy?
I sure wish there were some HONEST people out there offering a decent home based business.
Thanks for listening to my venting…Janice

Hi Janice,
Many of these things just want your money.
That’s how they make their money.
But there are some that are legitimate home based businesses.
Most are MLM opportunities, all take time and none are easy.
You can vent here anytime.
Good luck to you. Keep looking, you’ll find it.

Wow Stan,
Affiliate Marketing is easy to get into without much money.
And ClickBank products can be promoted even without a website.
Contact me and let’s discuss.
I’ll help you if I can.

i clicked on the website you endorsed. I am reluctant because i have signed up for other programs similar to this and the bottom line is I am not that savvy to “figure it out”. Isn’t there something out there that is easier to navigate, simpler to do? Hard work is easy for me but being overwhelmed without someone at my side is something different. then i have to pay ninety seven bucks a month for a while to see if it works? any suggestions….

Hi Olga,
There are many online business opportunities, some easier than others. Some are more lucrative than others. All take time and work.

Jerry
What do you suggest for someone looking for online business ventures
February 20th, 2010 at 5:53 pm
Eddie,
I recommend doing your own investigation and due diligence. There are so many scams with futile promises. However, the internet gives one such a large platform to market from, there are indeed ways to make money online. Some make a lot of money. It takes time and a lot of learning how to have a website, how to find a blog niche, how to offer value to your readers, how to promote solutions to your reader’s problems, how to drive traffic to your blog, and how to succeed. I have learned it can be done. So if you’re really serious and dedicated, don’t give up. It is a fascinating journey!

I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH ONLINE COMPANIES THAT PROMISES YOU THE MOON BUT, IN RETURN YOU ONLY GET BROKEN PROMISES. SOMETIMES, YOU EiTHER HEAR, SEE, OR SOMEONE TOLD YOU ABOUT A REPUTABLE COMPANY OR A CORPORATION THAT MAKE PROMISES ABOUT HAVING A SECURE WAY OUT OF THE. RECESSION MADNESS AND IN THE END YOU’LL END WORST OFF THAN BEFORE GETTING MORE IN DEBT LiSTENING TO OTHER COMPANIES OR CORPORATIONS ANd THE MANY PROMISES THAT THEY’LL MAKE TO GET YOUR START-UP FEE AND THEN LEAVE YOU HANGING OUT TO DRY. SO, MY QUESTION IS: HOW CAN FULLY DETERMINE Or ACKNOWLEDGE WHO IS TELLING THE HONEST TO GOD’S TRUTH?
February 22nd, 2010 at 5:42 am
Hi Darryl,
There are plenty of scams but you should be able to determine who is telling the honest truth beforehand.
IF IT SOUND TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE, IT IS.
Learn as much as you can about any company before you give them money. In today’s world, the Internet gives you the power to do your own investigation.

Hi there, I have been looking for online work for the past 3 years. Everything seems to be some sort of scam. I am retired and 61 years old, I have my own computer and internet service and am willing to do something worthwhile to make an income. The retirement barely pays the utilities. Can you help me to go in the right direction???
Thanks Toni
February 23rd, 2010 at 2:01 pm
Hi Toni,
Yes there is so much nonsense on the internet about making money. I’ve found the best way to start is to have a blog and write about a niche that you have a passion for. Then you can market many affiliate products that correlate to your niche. To learn how to do this, you may need some education. Just opt-in to any of my money making ideas in the top right corner of my blog.

Hello all,
I think I’ve bought this program last year and where first I was enthusiastic about the fact, that they give you items that you can choose to list on eBay – soon I found out, that the items available are not very wanted; nor does anything you list amount to $75 per hour. Also it DOES take a long time to list, if you want to do it in an attractive way!
Shame on me on the fact, that they say you can get your money back; which I forgot to do within a certain time-frame. I did learn some stuff in the pre-qualification course, but definitely not $97 worth.
My personal hangover with these things is, that they sell your email address to companies I don’t want to hear from, so now my Inbox, as well as Junk Mail Folder get flooded with Phishing Scams and other crap!
That really p…..me off and almost makes me want to campaign against them. But then, I don’t want to spend more time on worthless ‘things’.
Good Luck everybody, but Jerry is right about 1 thing:
IF IT SOUNDS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE – IT USUALLY IS….
Always read the ‘Terms and Conditions’ first – that usually tells all!

Hi Lidwina,
It sounds like you have had your fair share of bogus online programs.
But don’t give up.
There are legitimate ways to make money online.
It starts with a blog.
February 26th, 2010 at 8:14 am
Hey….I’ve spent more money than I would like to mention on “work at home” businesses. They seem to be just after my money (which I don’t have much of). Is there on out there that works? I don’t want to make all the money in the world, I just want to be able to pay my bills and not struggle month after month.
Thanks
February 26th, 2010 at 9:11 am
Hi Angel,
Yes, unfortunately there are those out there who make money only by taking yours. To make money online you must have an online presence and do legitimate marketing of a product. It takes time, education, and a little money to learn. Don’t give up.
February 26th, 2010 at 6:49 pm

Hi there, i would like to make money online too. Is the site you posted on here real?
March 1st, 2010 at 7:19 am
Hi Joshua,
Yes, the Income at Home Blueprint is real and will lead you to the InternetIncomeUniversity.com where you can learn so much about making money online. It is not quick money, but teaches you the basics. Everyone must start somewhere and your success depends more on yourself than any thing else.

Jerry,
I received an envelope in the mail with no return address, I opened it, and I was confused. In there was what appeared at first glance to be a page from a newspaper with a yellow sticker note on it that read, “Bruce, you have got to see this….. It’s amazing, and I know this is what your looking for. Signed J”. Long story short, it’s all fake. There is no name or page numbers on the newspaper. Went to the website, “www.homejobplacement.net”, ha, what a lifesaving opportunity. Until the only $197 to get started. That did it for me, until, I tried to exit the page and bam, now they wanted to give me a discount. Tried to exit again and I wanted to give me another discount. Well, that’s when I looked for your site. Hopefully this will stop somebody who really needs money, from wasting it on “companies” that prey on people that don’t do their research. Thanks for letting me vent.
March 3rd, 2010 at 10:47 am
Hi Bruce,
It’s really pathetic to know they are now using the mail service to solicit unsuspecting folks. It must be effective on some people or they wouldn’t do it.
Surely, the signature of J” is for Jennifer Johnson too.
Looks like a scam, smells like a scam, acts like a scam! I’m glad you saw through it.
March 3rd, 2010 at 10:21 pm
Wow bruce!!…i got the same thing in the mail today as well…..yellow post it and all signed “J” I had to look at it again cuz i didn’t realize it didn’t have a page number and you’re right!…this is crazy!!
March 3rd, 2010 at 10:32 pm
Hi Jerry,
Thanks for the insight on Home Job Placement. They almost got me, until I got to the part of $197. I always heard never to pay for a job to make money. I must admit, I kept thinking about it, but, decided to check it out with the BBB first. There was no listing under that name. Then I clicked on Jennifer Johnson’s name, and it brought me to your webpage. I’m glad I did. I will now unsubscribe to Home Job Placement, and keep my own money. However, I wonder if you know of any Legit Ebay Auction listing Agencies, that may have an opportunity for people to do there data entry listings for them.
Thank you
Maggie

Hi Maggie,
I’m glad I was able to help you.
As for the Ebay question, check out the Ebay forums and offer your services there.
Good luck.
March 4th, 2010 at 7:52 am
Hey Christina,
Yes, they can be “sneaky”.
March 5th, 2010 at 4:03 am
Thank you for discussing such an insightful article with all of us. I’ve bookmarked your blog will come back for a re-read again. Keep up the great work.
March 8th, 2010 at 2:56 pm
I’m another lucky guy that got the envelope with the supposed newspaper with the yellow sticky note on it signed “J”.
Thank God for the internet so you can research this stuff. Working at home is great if you can find the right business. I’ve been doing ebay for years but it only supplies limited income for most of us. The “big” boys make millions but I’m not there yet.
I wish you all well, but please remember if someone wants money upfront for you to start an inhome business it most certainly is ripoff and the only money that will be made is by the person that collects his fee from you.
March 8th, 2010 at 3:10 pm
Thanks John for the comment.
People just need to understand what is and what is not.
I wouldn’t necessarily say that all opportunities that want money upfront are a ripoff, some appear to want money upfront and you just can’t see what you are getting. If it is educational products, many are good.
Just be cautious and always look for a money back guarantee, and by all means, do your own research.
March 8th, 2010 at 3:17 pm
Wow Jerry,I just got the same letter that Bruce got with the yellow stick it.I thought it was from a long lost friend like ANTHONY MORRISON.He wanted to stick it to me too.I’m so glad that I went to your site first,I need my little money to pay that other thief called UNCLE SAM.
March 8th, 2010 at 3:28 pm
Hey Don,
Glad I can help. You must watch late night television to run into Anthony Morrison.
Can you believe what he says?
Maybe I should write an article about him.
And Heaven knows we all must pay our Uncle.
Good luck to you.
