Last night my niece called me from Eastern Virginia. She was so excited about what she had run into the day before. Although she is an experienced, successful offline marketer with many contacts, she was referred by a friend to attend a presentation for a network marketing opportunity.

Your Warm Market

Entertaining three other job offers but being unemployed at the moment, she decided to attend the meeting. She was absolutely floored to learn her friend was earning $50k per year and only working 20 hours per week. She found she could join the opportunity, use the services and become an affiliate representative for the opportunity company. She realized that she had a large warm market of her own.

Your Friends Are in Your Warm Market

My niece knew I had been intrigued with network marketing myself and knew I was having some success. She called me to verify that such things do exist and it was not a scam. For years she had thought the entire prospect of making money like this was only a hard sell to friends and family and did not think it would ever be anything she may try. But after the meeting she felt there was no hard sell to it. She knew establishing a trust is the single most important thing for people to have before other people join in any opportunity. Having a warm market is often the easiest path in starting out.

Yes, I could verify that it was not a scam. I explained to her the vast opportunities there are for network marketers today and the power of the Internet makes it easier to reach people who are searching for a better way than working in corporate America.

We talked for two hours. We talked about MLM, affiliate marketing, e-commerce sites, and other ways to make money online. The more I talked, the more she wanted to know. I explained the simple ways to make easy money online although many are not too lucrative. We discussed the learning curve, the time table and the fact that it is not an easy path nor any get rich quick methods that work.

I explained all the available and necessary ways to learn and the necessity to self educate oneself on how to make money online.
